Installation Ease

The i3 line redefines installation ease with its plug-in design. Installers can pre-wire bases (included with heads) ahead of time, thanks to a large wire entry port and in-line terminals that leave plenty of room for neat, organized wiring inside the base. The base supports multiple back box mounting methods, plus direct mounting with drywall anchors. To finish the job, i3 heads simply plug into the base with a quick Stop-Drop 'N Lock™ action.

Intelligence

i3 detectors include a range of intelligent features that make testing and maintenance simple. Drift compensation and smoothing algorithms come standard across the line to help minimize nuisance alarms. 2-wire i3 detectors can send a remote, LED-indicated maintenance signal when paired with the 2W-MOD2 loop test/maintenance module or a panel that supports the i3 protocol. The wireless SENS-RDR device reads out detector sensitivity as percent-per-foot obscuration.

Instant Inspection

Wide-angle red and green LED indicators let you check a detector's status at a glance — normal standby, out-of-sensitivity, alarm, or freeze trouble. Pair 2-wire i3 detectors with the 2W-MOD2 module or an i3-protocol panel to unlock the EZ Walk loop test feature, which verifies initiating loop wiring with LED status indication at every detector.
