Because the Optix SOC splice tail is 3X longer than all other brands, if a tech makes a mistake in the field they can splice it again up to 3X.  Also the design uses a short 30mm splice sleeve and with the long flexible silicon boot the Optix SOC can be easily wrapped into most any splice enclosure.
