Amp No.244271-1 VS-3 Picabond Ratchet Crimper 

We usually have in stock several used Picabond tools.  We replace the wire leads on all the tools we get in, clean, test and lubricate the tool.  These tools last forever so a used one in most cases will get the job done for you.

The VS-3 hand tool is designed to join able conductors (wires) using the AMP PICABOND connectors (standard).The tool can be hand held or used in AMP Tool Holder 229755-1. The features of the hand tool and their functions are as follows:

• Movable die (anvil) and two fixed dies (crimpers) - crimp the connectors.
• Two wire supports - position and hold the wires in the crimpers.
• Wire cutter - performs two functions. First, it locates the connector on the anvil, and second, it cuts excess wire during the crimp cycle.
• Moving handle (with quick-take-up lever and CERTI-CRIMP ratchet) - pushes connector into crimping dies and ensures a highly uniform, finished connection every crimp cycle.
• Fixed handle - provides support during crimp cycle and, when applicable, can be held securely in tool holder.
