Connecting:
Remove cable from handset and place in one jack of the recorder;
place other wire (included with recorder) into the other jack of the
recorder and into the handset. Simply insert the recorders wire into the
MIC IN jack of your sound card, download the software from the download
page. Start the software and login to the ADMIN screen. Email the
Host Id to keys@usbrecorder.com. The Host ID which is displayed in the
ADMIN screen will be used to generate the license file which will be
e-mailed back to the user. |
Testing:
Test the sound card before purchasing by trying a MIC with the sound
card, furthermore, use the Sound Recorder software included with
Microsoft OS (Start->Programs->Accessories->Entertainment->Sound
Recorder) for testing. If audio can be recorded with a MIC then phone
conversations can be recorded with the THE RECORDER. We suggest that all
sound cards be tested before purchasing. |
Key:
Unlike the USB Recorders a key is needed to operate the THE
RECORDER. Once you receive the the recorder email keys@usbrecorder.com
for a key to be used with your recorder. Keys are emailed within one
business day after the Host ID is received. Furthermore, additional keys
can be purchased for a $30 fee. The Host ID which is displayed in the
ADMIN screen will be used to generate the license file which will be
e-mailed back to the user.
The Key file is placed in the usbxrec directory or where the usbxprj.exe
resides. |
